Keywords:
Family disintegration, delinquency, juvenile delinquency, psychological disorders, economic stressAbstract
This research aims to investigate the deep relationship between family disintegration and delinquency behaviors among minors, through a comprehensive review of the various factors that contribute to the erosion of family ties and their transformation into an environment that stimulates deviance and deviant behavior. The research addressed the stages of development of legislation related to delinquency in Iraq, starting from Ottoman law, through Baghdad law, and up to modern Iraqi legislation, reflecting the social and cultural transformations that societies have witnessed throughout the ages. The research also relied on a multidisciplinary methodology that combined historical, legislative, psychological and social analysis, to shed light on the impact of internal factors such as health and psychological disorders and personal dysfunctions, in addition to external factors such as poverty, economic pressures, and deterioration in the family and educational environment. The research focused on reviewing the social, psychological and biological theories that explain the phenomenon of delinquency, with the aim of providing an integrated framework for understanding its causes and identifying preventive and therapeutic methods through which its spread in society can be reduced.
